IDS has completed over 1,500 detailing and connection design projects ranging in size from 50 tons to over 30,000 tons. Our employees have a wide range of skills and hands-on experience in all facets of the construction industry.

IDS commits to providing the technology required within the industry. We hold weekly internal Tekla and SDS training and improvement sessions, and sponsor employees for advanced licensing and certification including NISD certification. Moreover, we have developed a connection design software (GIZA) that can stand alone or integrate with Tekla Structures and guarantees our steel connections are accurate per each project’s specifications. With 250+ Tekla licenses, including Trimble Connect Business Premium as well as Tekla EPM, 150+ SDS/2 licenses, and Math CAD licenses, we have the staffing and technical capacity to handle a large volume of projects.

IDS employs a proactive approach to our projects by maintaining good communication with the construction team through BIM, working directly with the design team to manage projects, and maintaining the construction schedule.
